Storm Nesat/Pedring: after its rage in Manila

After Manila was hit by storm Nesat/Pedring, its time for the urban city of Manila to regain its strength and prosperity. From the news, storm Nesat/Pedring is different compared to other typhoon especially the storm Ondoy which . In Manila, Roxas boulevard was severely hit by the storm because of the storm surge brought by the storm; the whole place boulevard was flooded as if it is part of the shore. I was at home that and listening to the howling sound of its wind of the storm, I think the whole day I was so bum at home because I have nothing to do, just tweaking my websites. I'm still lucky because we do have still an electricity compared to other place in Manila. After the storm leaves the Philippines, I grab my camera and went to Ermita here in Manila, because the part of Roxas Boulevard that was hit by the storm surge is Ermita Manila.


So I was walking in Taft Avenue, I already saw casualty that the storm left with.

So I am still walking along T.M Kalaw, fallen trees and branches along the way especially infront of the National Library.



So I already reach the starting point of Roxas Boulevard. The water is gone, but the whole stretch of Roxas Boulevard was covered by mud.





The Museo Pambata or Children's Museum Manila is one of the victim by the storm Nesat/Pedring, the place was devasted, trees were uprooted and the road within the premises was covered in mud. The local government of Manila are now trying to restore the said establishment.





Because the whole Roxas Boulevard was covered in mud, heavy traffic occur. Even the United States Embassy is restoring its operation after the storm.




I was at the shore of Manila Bay, you will still feel the presence of the storm by its gustiness wind that surround the place. At the same time it is high-tide, so expect a high waves breaking the walls along the bay.






When I was going to Quirino Grandstand, along the way, commercial establishment within the premises are closed, and covered with mud. Even my chucks also taste the mud.



Walls on some properties are destroyed because of strong winds that hit Manila last tuesday.





Manila Ocean Park is also recovering, because the place was flooded.

I hope that this storm that hits Manila would be the last. Being prepared is one way to survive this kind of disaster. But still the Urban City of Manila will survive.

AKTV on IBC13 launch party: The sports channel entertainment on free channel

I was watching the basketball match between SMART-Gilas and Chinese-Taipei on AKTV-IBC 13. Wow! watching on a Samsung LED TV in HD, provided by Cignal.





September 23, TV 5 hosted a party at the NBC tent. The said party is the official launch of AKTV on free channel, IBC channel 13. This will be an introduction on Philippine television, because it will cater pure sports entertainment for common Filipino who cannot afford a paid-cable, and to watched their favorite sports. The AKTV will also introduced an all Filipino commentators which will also first; the usual setup if you are going to watch a certain sports channel is in English language, which some Filipino who are alienated on the said language. This also good news to the advertisers because the potential increase of viewers on the said channel because all sports that will be aired is in Filipino. Pesonalities in Philippine-sports are present on the said party. In boxing the Philippines team; Football/Soccer, Phil Younghusband, James Younghusband, and some members of Philippine Azkals; and Basketball, some of the PBA players.



The party was hosted by Paolo Bediones and the UP Pepsquad open the show with their winning performance, which they won on the UAAP cheer leading competition.

Urban Living in Manila: How to get to Poveda School in Ortigas from Manila

This will be your definite guide, if this would be the first time that you are living in the urban area of Manila and you want to go to Ortigas specifically in Poveda School, and you don't know how to go to that school for the reason that you are planning to enroll to that school or for business purposes and you have a tight budget that taking a cab or taxi in not an option. I will show how to get there. Please be advise that going to Poveda School in Ortigas; the starting place on this post will be in Manila, specifically in Quezon Boulevard. Landmarks that you are in Quezon Boulevard is the Basilica of Black Nazarene or Quiapo Church and the famous shopping mall Isetan Recto; in order to reach Isetan Recto or Recto itself from Quiapo Church you need to walk, landmark that you are near Isetan Recto and Recto will be an underpass for vehicles, also you will see an overpass, if you see the overpass you are near Isetan Recto. Before you reach Isetan Recto you need go to the overpass in order to cross the street because there will be a bus that will take you to Ortigas. There are three bus liner which will take you to Ortigas. First one would be G-Liner, RRCG bus line, and Greenstar; all bound to Taytay, Cainta, and Junction.

Somethin' Fishy: The best eat-all-you-can restaurant in Manila

During the days we do street-racing with my brother in C5 libis, of course honda civic hatchhack and toyota corolla 4age silvertop engine, wohooo! We usually be hungry around three in the morning. When we are strolling in Eastwood to look for a place to eat, we accidentally saw Somethin' Fishy along the way.


We are shocked because this restaurant offers unlimited breakfast or shall I say eat-all-you-can breakfast with a cheap price, not bad to those gluttonous fanatics out there. From 12 midnight to 10 in the morning next day, they serve this food promo to the consumer. So our rumbling tummy, rush to the nearest table to get some plates. Back then they only serve, I think nine buffet dishes, but recently, they are serving 20 dishes. Ok things get more excited. More food and more selection to choose from.


The foods that are on the menu list right now are; baked ham, spanish omelet, waffles, bibingka, puto bungbong, french toast, pork siomai, sweet-and-sour pork, chicken pringles, and sardines poured in tomato sauce. One that I like the most about these, is that they are unlimited or eat-all-you-can.

One of my favorite food that everytime I go back this restaurant is their famous Palabok. Eversince I was a kid I am fond of eating noodles and pasta, well, until now. Palabok with scrambled eggs and chesse dog is definitely my favorite combination. With the introduction of the baked ham and sweet-and-sour pork on the menu list, it will add again to my food choice if we where going back after a party.

My new found favorites are waffles poured in chocolate syrup or maple syrup added sliced banana or apple on the top. The restaurant is surrounded with offices that operates at night, it is no wonder why this restaurant is famous among call center agents. Even when I was employed at Dell, I usually come here to have my breakfast, a big breakfast. The price is not bad, 150 pesos per person compared if you will order a combo meal in a fastfood chain. So if any chances that you are hungry and you passed the Eastwood Libis, I recommend this restaurant. Happy Eating!

Tydi's Shooting Star album: Am I crazy when I hear his music?

The first track that I listen to this DJ is Vanilla from the album. Tydi is from Australia, this would be the first time that I heard a DJ from other countries besides Europe, I am a solid fan of Armin Van Buuren, Marcus Schultz, Tiesto, and Dash Berlin and everyday; I never miss to listen on one of their tracks before going to work and very impressive that this Australian Dj is only 24 years old. Thanks to Armada channel on in Youtube I would not discover the music of Tydi.

Its been awhile that I did not listen to Tydi's music because I was hooked up on Dubstep and A State Of Trance by Armin Van Buuren and then when I saw on my facebook that Tydi release his latest album Shooting Star, the first thing I did was to go to his page and see to myself if it is true; I am very sleepy that time. Oh my! It is true that Tydi released his latest album, went to his Youtube channel if there is already a latest video from the album.

World Apart

The first was the world apart from his latest album. In my opinion this track is a mix of emotional, melodic, vocal trance, with the twist of acoustic and celtic music which is very smooth to the ears. But what I like about this is that the interpretation of the video, definitely if you are in love you may want to listen to this track and be in-love more to your special someone. Besides the interpretation and music; the high-definition of the video is one thing that I like about Tydi's this video.

Acting Crazy



After a bad day yesterday because I was not accepted on the job that I am applying; I just went home and listen to Tydi's world apart video, went to Armada channel and look for Tydi's world apart video. But this time I notice that there is another video from Tydi added to the playlist, I was curious, so I check the video. I was suprise that this is the newest video from him, I am glad because after listening to the track, the track is very good! Compare to the previous track, this tracks will bring you back to your hyper senses. The music, the interpretation, and the video is good. One thing that I can say about Tydi's latest album is that, this is another hit from him and definitely hit the chart.

Triple-patty burger of Wendys Hamburger a triple threat among fast-food hamburgers

After my adventure of eating Baconator, I have a final mission before I rest my case on Wendys hamburger, and that would be the triple-patties hamburger burger. Saturday night, went to my friends place just to have a chit-chat and other plan might come in that night; a sudden thought of my friend of eating at Wendys because he is craving for frosties, so I said to him that since he is interested to eat at Wendys, I will try their triple-patties burger since I have not eaten my lunch and dinner and I want to try the hamburger myself. We went to Wendys Dapitan, located infront of UST / University Of Santo Thomas, Dapitan gate here in Manila. I ordered the triple-patties burger combo meal with an upgrade of ice-tea and french-fries; I am so confident of the large credit that I had in my credit card. My friend was shock because of the meal that I am going to order.










We waited at our orders to come, and there it was when the staff has my order the big, chunk triple-patty burger and my friend was suprised and laugh because of the size of the burger that I ordered.

The packaging of the triple-patties is the same as the packaging of Wendys Baconator hamburger. The size of the hamburger sandwich is huge, I mean huge. Of course what I like about this is, that the burger is all pure beef, no extenders compared to other hamburgers; When you will experienced the pure beef of this meal no other add-ons. I cannot compare this to Baconator because of the bacon was added on the meal.





A satisfy meal you will experience because of the all-natural french-fries and iced-tea that I upgraded, the size I mean. I enjoy the look of my friend, he was overwhelmed as if that I ate the sandwhich just like a normal hamburger sandwich.

At the end if you want a heavy meal for big guys I recommend this meal, upgrade the fries and drinks.
