Last Sunday I went to SM Sta. Mesa to meet with my former co-worker in automotive industry because of a business deal. When I reach the SM Sta. Mesa Mall, I saw a big size advertisement stand infront and it says sale. I forgot it is SM's three day sale. The sale started on Friday until that day, so I am curious about this because this will be the first time that I will enter this mall on a sale event; because I usually go to SM Mall Manila if there is a sale.

I was suprised by the people inside of the mall buying things at low prices.



So I already met my former co-worker a litter chit chat and went to second floor; he wants to buy a dozen from Go Nuts Donuts for his daughters. Go Nuts Donuts has a promo when you buy half a dozen donut you will the half for free. I have taste this donut and they are great their taste is similar to America's Krispy Kreme.



McDonalds Bigmac: a yummy treatment



After that went to Mc Donald's to have lunched. He was so generous that he treated me with a BigMac Meal; the last time I have tasted this one back in January. Ordered a complete meal; with big fries and drinks. After that meal went somewhere on that place to talk about business. Took about one and half hours on it and we feel hungry again after a brisk we a newly opened restaurant.

ChicBoy Restaurant Sta. Mesa: A grand opening



The new restaurant is the ChicBoy; means Chicken and Baboy or Pork. This restaurant is equivalent to Mang Inasal Chicken House. Both restaurant offers the same Inasal Chicken which originated from Bacolod southern part of the Philippines, but one that I like most of this two restaurant is they are offering an unlimited rice; means rice all you can. After that food adventure went back to SM Sta. Mesa to say goodbye to my friend.



And went back to SM City Sta. Mesa to watch the Chess Tournament which located at the cinema section of SM City Sta. Mesa.



Mezza Residence Condominium Sta. Mesa



Sta. Mesa is one of the strategic place here in Manila. There are several development happening already, one of them are the Mezza residence, a condominium built and owned by SM Development Corporation. The said condominium is already built all you need to do is to move in.




By the way the condominium here are for sale and offering three option: a studio unit for a price range of 1.3 million pesos to 1.4 million pesos, one bedroom unit; price ranging from 1.9 million pesos to 3.6 million pesos, and the last is two bedroom option; price range from 5.29 million pesos.




Beside that condominium, there is a nearby shopping mall which you can buy things that you need, like the SM City Sta. Mesa or SM Centerpoint. The other one is the SM Savemore grocery store which is just below the Mezza Residence condominium. One thing I like about this Savemore by SM is they operate from seven in the morning until 11 at night. Fast food chain like Jollibee and Greenwhich which owned by the Jollibee Foods Corporation is just infront of the Mezza Residence condominium and opens 24 hours. The other one is Starbucks Coffee which they operational until 12 in the morning.


Public transport is accessible 24 hours like public jeepney which have trips in Cubao in Quezon City and in Divisoria in Manila; Buses which bound to Rizal province like Taytay and Cainta, and the Light Rail Transit station 2. Schools like CCP or Central College of the Philippines and UERM which is owned by the University of the East is just beside the condominium that is for sale. Security is no problem because of the station is just below of the said condominium.

Unlimited Cakes and Coffee at the Lombardi in San Juan City, Philippines

Unlimited Cakes and Coffee at Lombardi Restaurant

After watching Captain America the First Avenger in Promenade Theater in Greenhills San Juan, we treat ourselves to a cozy snack.




We stumble on a restaurant that serves unlimited cakes and coffee for a price of 150 pesos. Cross my mind to put this into my blog. The restaurant is Lombardi located in San Juan city, that is located in Little Baguio. The restaurant also serves Italian foods like Pizza and Pasta.


The Lombardi: Cakes



Of course the why we visit the restaurant is because of their cakes.

The first cake served to us was the chocolate caramel. This cake is very sinful thats what I can say; the heavy feeling of the sweetness will easily spread to your taste buds.



The thickness of the cake is good, some kind of stuffed but not totally stuffed compared to the cakes from Red Ribbon; Red Ribbon also sells Caramel Cake to customers though. Back in college I order this cake or Black Forest when caramel cake is not available; that is there is a special occasion or I will give it to someone, so I am aware of the thickness of the cake.

The next cake we tried is the Tiramisu; I thought that Tiramisu is the same with the famous Grahams Mango Float, but I was wrong.



So we again taste the Tiramisu Cake. The taste of the cake is light because of the after taste of the Caramel Cake, but the taste of the cake is also good. The only thing that I have notice is the Broas on the cake, well the Broas is soft already, or maybe I used to eat Broas soft but crunchy.

The last one we tried is the Devil's Cake; the why this would be the last one is because we are already full.



This cake is a chocolate cake; compared to the Caramel Cake that was served to us earlier this cake is also lighter to our taste buds; not too sweet, not to bland; just right.

The Lombardi: Coffee



Based on the taste of my brother and his friend. The coffee is just fine; coffee was brewed and there is no problem on it.



We usually do a foodtrip with my brother by going to "eat all you can" restaurant. If you want to experience a sweet foodtrip then I suggest this restaurant.

Tower Burger by KFC / Kentucky Fried Chicken a Towering Experience.

KFC or Kentucky Fried Chicken never failed me to impress especially when they are releasing new product or food to Filipino customers. This week I saw a new advertisement from the company introducing a new food product Filipinos will come to the store; and that would be the KFC Tower Burger.

I went to a nearest KFC store in our place to try the new product by KFC. The price for this on was tagged at 110 pesos for the Ala-carte and 170 pesos for the combo meal. The cashier advises me to wait for a minute for my order. I was so excited to taste this one and then I saw the crew carrying my order; The customer service of KFC nagtahan is great since my college days and they are operating 24 hours again.

KFC Tower Burger: The Packaging



Having a new design and look for the new chicken burger is good; much better to the packaging of their previous product KFC Zinger. The image of the burger on the packaging seems she is playing with you; do you see the cheese on it? Looks like a tongue right?


KFC Tower Burger: The Sandwich




Anyway I opened the box and there it was; the new chicken burger of KFC. It looks like the KFC Zinger but it is not because this sandwich is stuffed with a mayo, lettuce, hash brown, cheese, and of course the chicken patties that you can see on the packaging; the chicken patty is also used on their other product the "Double Down". The said burger was big that when I opened my mouth it won't fit in; well just a quarter maybe of the burger fits to my mouth to the point that crumbles of the sandwich starts to fall into the box. Added to the that the mayo starts to crawl in into my finger that you will lick it to stop it. Another definition of "Finger Lickin Good". The preparation of the sandwich is similar to the sandwich of stackers. Stackers is a restaurant that is located in Eastwood City Libis; offers a wide variety of sandwiches.

If you want to try this new food product from KFC well you better go to the nearest KFC store and grab one.

The food will not fail your expectation to satisfy your urge for food. All stuffed in plus matched with a fries and a drink; trust me you will not again eat for a 24 hr period. Sorry I just exaggerate the last part though. I better prepare a cup of green tea and make a kilometer walk on this.
