One of the basic necessity for Urban living is security — guess everyone needs that one though. The challenges are how locks will be convenient, smart, interopterable to different platform, and having a real-time monitoring which is needed by those people who are on the "go". The typical "U-lock" and conventional door-locks are not enough to secure your premises nowadays especially burglars are very familiar with a the mechanism of it.
Assa Abbloy, the company behind the brand Yale, debut last week their latest lock technology for the Philippine market, they called it "smart-locks".
The said event was held at Edsa Shangri-La last week, Assa Abloy introduce a wide variety of smart-lock for different functions and industry on the said event.

One product that caught my attention is their top of the line smart-locks which it is a touch-screen, then once you are done pinning the codes, you will just hover the screen on it erasing the fingerprint — that's what you call smart; and also you can use your smarphone as an RFID on it.
The Yale YDR333 — This is memorable to me because I got one this smart-locks at the event.

What impresses me is that they a have a 24-hour customer service which one of the most important ingredient for any business nowadays.
The said event was very successful. Well, I think I will see more of this technology within the coming months though at the same time this will be the trend in Real-Estate industry.
