Mercury Drug Store Nagtahan: Poor customer service

"Customer service is the provision of service to customers before, during and after a purchase"

All I can say that the customer service of Mercury Drug Store Nagtahan branch was worst especially to those customer who have only credit or debit card as their payment.

Here's what happened, on the 26th of this month (11/26/2013), me and my friend went to Mercury Drug Nagtahan to buy some food because we are just going to do some foodtripping, I did not have any cash in handy that time so what I'll do is charge it to my card instead.

So we're at the counter to pay the stuff and told the lady at the cashier that I'm going to pay it using my card, so what she did was asked their staff to get the swiper at the other counter in order that they'll charge the card. Ok, that's fine; then suddenly she grabbed the other stuff that my friend is purchasing and out of nowhere she charge all the things that I and my friend bought in one transaction; hold on there, I told the lady that the purchase is separate because I'm using a card. You know what she did? She did nothing, she reasoned out that "Naisama ko na siya — I included them already", that kind of reason is kinda BS! And worst is that she did not void it. WTF was that?! Really?!

Instead of paying a small amount on the things that my friend bought, he needs to shell out more to the transaction on that time because my friend is paying cash, good thing that my friend brought an extra that time. Of course at the end I pay my friend for the things that I bought. Nice solution there that lady in mind, geesh!

Question here is that are those employee at Mercury Drug Nagtahan are trained to handle customers who are using cards instead of cash? If not, kinda incompetent on their end. And how the management included those kind of people to their payroll.

There is a Filipino phrase commonly used to those kind of scenario; "Para-paraan din ang mga empleyado niyo rin noh!".

Also this is not the first time that I've experience this kind of treatment on that branch, this is the 2nd time — using a credit card that time.

I definitely not recommend this branch, really; especially to those customers who will pay using debit or credit card; poor customer service and incompetent employee.

Like I said, this the only branch that I've experience that kind of treatment, because on their other branches (Sta. Mesa, Broadway, Starmall, & Otigas Galleria) I did not experience that.

I'm not asking for anything after this, any kind of resolution, just venting out my frustration.

That will depend on the management what they will do after this.

Master Siomai: Chicken Siomai

Another famous Siomai food store Siomai King now offers Chicken flavor for their Siomai products, one street popular street food in Manila.

My personal opinion about the taste, its good you can expect a pure chicken taste on this Siomai; Siomai King is the only one who is offering this flavor besides their other variant.

So if the next time you will go to MRT Stations or LRT Station — which you can see their kiosk, try to taste this product, this is also for those who are avoiding pork and beef.

Cronuts by Gonuts Donuts

Again, I did a litte adventure to check who have the best Cronuts in Manila. I went now to Gonuts Donuts in SM San Lazaro, located in Manila. This was the only branch by Gonuts Donuts that is offering Cronuts to the market.

Gonut Donuts SM San Lazaro branch.

The store is offering several variety of Cronuts, so what I did was I chose the Blueberry and the Peach cream variant; take note that once you ordered from them, you need to wait for 5 minutes to serve the food, the price on the product is 75 pesos.

My impression? This is the first time that the dough of the Cronuts was firm — Unlike Country Style, there Cronuts is horrible.

The preparation & the ingredient on this was fine, no interesting stuff that you can expect though.

Thought all is fine, but their customer service is not good — not saying their staff are rude or something; but, they are lacking customer service skills on their crew. This is the first time that they don't offer Fork or Spoon to product — even you'll ask one they will just say that they do not have any knife in handy & just going to give you a piece of paper to hold the food. Really, I was shock when I heard it. Hope the management of Gonuts Donuts to that they can add Fork or Spoon if the customer is requesting, disssapointed on this.

If you going to rate it? The food is good but the customer service is a dissapointment.

7-11 Slurpee Bring your own cup promo

7-11 Slurpee's Promo photo WP_20131107_007_zpsd8f1ad29.jpg

Guess this would be the coolest promo that 7-11 offered to their consumer, bring your own cup. I mean, bring anything like pitcher your Trophy or ever your Caserole in order to have their cold Slurpee at home for the same amount of 29 Pesos.

Well to start of, it was an accident that one my friend's model send a sms message that there is an ongoing promo of 7-11 that you can bring you own glass — regardless of the size — for the same prize of 29 bucks.

So my friend and I went to the nearest 7-11 to check it out.

And there it was, it is confirm that there is an ongoing promo by 7-11, however the promo is within the whole day only — meaning tomorrow there is no promo.

Not all the cup that you will be accepted, they have this board that will measure the "mouth" of the cup if will fit their requirement or not.

Good thing that our pitcher is good to go, so, without a second thought, we gave right away the pitcher to the 7-11 guy in order that he will fill our pitcher and start enjoying the Slurpee.

The pitcher that we brought is a 2 liter pitcher so we have enough Slurpee for ourselves, LOL!

Still not contented because we got only the Raspberry flavor & I want also their Coke Slurpee, so I message my brother that when he arrive at home maybe if he is interested to have that promo by 7-11. So we did thankfully before 12 in the morning.

Guess this is one of my memorable thing that I did bout buying food at 7-11, hope they will come up with more promos.
